The chemical engineering department offers very competitive UG/PG programs aimed at providing the students a broad-based education with emphasis on theory and state -of- the- art practice of Chemical Engineering keeping in view the current and future requirements of the country. This is reflected in the curriculum of the chemical engineering department which includes the study of applied mathematics, material and energy balances, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, energy and mass transfer, separation technologies, chemical reaction kinetics and process design. The Department takes pride for maintaining the excellent learning/research facilities for faculty/students. A good number of our alumni have been hired by the leading national and multinational companies in the country and abroad. Our faculty is dedicated and puts extra effort in imparting excellent teaching in the field of Chemical Engineering. This is reflected by the remarkable results achieved by our students in national and international competitions. The Department also offers short courses/ seminars to cater for the specific need of professionals working in industry. Our Internship and Placement Cell puts all out efforts to ensure that maximum number of students get internships/jobs during the academic year. The Department maintains close liaison with a large number of process industries to encourage students to work on industry-oriented engineering projects.
