Farhan Javaid

Summary

Dr.-Ing. Farhan Javaid received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering. His research focuses on microstructure–property relationships in metallic, ceramic, and composite materials. His expertise includes the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials and thin films, ex-situ and in-situ materials characterization, mechanisms of plasticity and scale bridging in mechanical properties, as well as deformation, fracture, and failure analysis. He also employs machine learning and data-driven approaches for materials design and property prediction. Dr. Javaid has authored numerous publications in leading international journals and is actively engaged in supervising postgraduate students.
