Summary

Amna was born in the Punjab province of Pakistan. She graduated from the Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan with a BS degree in Physics in 2010. The following year she went on to receive an MS degree in Material and surface engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. In November 2014, she successfully won partial funding from the Department of Physics, University of York, and pursued her Ph.D. under the Faculty Development Program, NUST. She started her Ph.D. research in the Photonics group at the University of York under the supervision of Prof. Thomas F. Krauss. Her Ph.D. research concerned the development of low threshold Perovskite random lasers and the Nanophotonic light trapping structures for silicon solar cell applications. In August 2018, she joined NUST and is serving as an Assistant Professor in School of Chemicals and Materials Engineering, NUST Islamabad''.
