SCME-OGDCL Meeting to Discuss Research Partnerships

On 30 July 2025, a delegation from the School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME) visited the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) to explore avenues of research collaboration. The discussion focused on joint initiatives in advanced separation and purification technologies to optimize production processes and the development of sustainable, energy-efficient methods for natural gas processing and petrochemical production. Both sides also emphasized the importance of academic–industry linkages through the joint organization of conferences, seminars, and technical workshops. Additionally, opportunities for student internships and industrial training at OGDCL facilities were highlighted to enhance practical exposure and professional skills.

The SCME faculty members representing the institute were Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad (HoD/Associate Professor, Chemical Engineering Department) and Dr. Muhammad Ahsan (Associate Professor, Chemical Engineering Department).
