Prof. Dr. Mukti Rana Visits SCME, NUST

The School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME), NUST, successfully hosted Prof. Dr. Mukti M. Rana, Professor of Engineering at Delaware State University (DSU), from September 14–19, 2025.

Dr. Rana, an internationally recognized researcher in 2D/3D interfaces, ferroelectric materials, MEMS devices, and uncooled infrared detectors, has published over 35 peer-reviewed papers and holds four US patents. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and has received several awards, including NASA’s Faculty Mentor of the Year (2019).

During his visit, Dr. Rana delivered insightful lectures, engaged in interactive sessions with students and faculty, and discussed avenues for future research collaboration between DSU and NUST. His presence provided valuable exposure to cutting-edge developments in materials and device engineering while strengthening SCME’s global academic linkages.
