SCME Welcomes International Academic Visitors

The School of Chemical & Materials Engineering (SCME), NUST, warmly welcomes Dr. Nilanthy Balakrishnan from Keele University, United Kingdom, and Dr. Ahmad Ilyas Bin Rushdan from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, during their visits to SCME.

Dr. Nilanthy Balakrishnan is visiting NUST from 16 to 29 August 2026 under the ongoing UKRI EPSRC funded collaborative research project “Smart Electrodes for Energy Storage Devices.” This is her second visit to NUST under the project. During her stay, she will participate in joint research activities, engage with faculty members and students, continue ongoing collaborative research, and contribute through expert lectures and research seminars at SCME.

Dr. Ahmad Ilyas Bin Rushdan is visiting NUST from 15 August to 15 October 2026 under the MOSTF Young Scientists’ Fellowship Programme, reflecting the growing academic exchange and collaboration between NUST and Malaysian institutions. His visit provides an opportunity for academic interaction, knowledge exchange, and strengthening international research linkages.

Dr. Umair Manzoor, Principal SCME, warmly welcomes both distinguished visitors to the School and looks forward to meaningful academic discussions, research interactions, and further opportunities for international collaboration.
