Associate Professor
Summary

Dr. Mohsin Saleem is a researcher and academic with expertise in advanced functional materials for energy, sensing, and smart device applications. His research interests focus on energy storage and conversion devices, with particular emphasis on green hydrogen production through piezo-photo catalytic approaches. He has extensive experience in ferroelectric and piezoelectric ceramics and composite materials, as well as their integration into sensors, actuators, and self-powered IoT systems using piezoelectric nanogenerators. Dr. Saleem’s work also includes piezo-photo catalysis for energy applications, perovskite and metal-oxide materials, and selected areas of organic chemistry relevant to functional materials. He actively contributes to simulation and modeling of composite materials and devices, enabling performance optimization and design validation. His experimental expertise covers a wide range of nanomaterials synthesis and fabrication techniques, including electrical explosion, spray pyrolysis, electroless deposition, slurry and tape casting, solid-state, and sol-gel methods. At MatEnTx (www.matentx.com), Dr. Mohsin Saleem serves as Chief Technical Officer (CTO), leading research in advanced piezoelectric materials, energy storage and conversion, green hydrogen production, nanomaterials synthesis, and smart energy devices.
