For HEC NRPU funded Project, On Campus Full Time

Project Title: Indigenous Design and Development of Eco-friendly Next-Generation Zinc Organic Energy Systems (Project No. 180232-133).

Applications are invited from motivated and talented candidates for the following positions under an HEC-funded research project at the School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME), NUST, H-12 Campus, Islamabad.

 Position 1: Research Assistant – 01 Position

Duration: 06 months (extendable subject to satisfactory performance)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must be enrolled in an ME/MS/MPhil program, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Materials Engineering at NUST.
• The selected candidate will undertake a research-driven, project-based thesis aligned with the objectives and deliverables of the funded project.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in organic materials design and synthesis for energy storage applications.
• Hands-on experience in electrode design and fabrication in electrochemical analysis.
• Experience in scientific research, experimental data collection, management, and analysis.

Stipend: Up to PKR 40,000 per month, subject to satisfactory performance.

Position 2: PhD Scholar / Research Associate – 01 Position

Duration: 06 months (extendable subject to satisfactory performance)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must be enrolled in a PhD program, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Materials Engineering at NUST.

• The selected candidate will undertake a research-driven, project-based thesis aligned with the objectives and deliverables of the funded project.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in organic materials design and synthesis for energy storage applications particularly aqueous zinc organic batteries.
• Hands-on experience in electrode design and fabrication in electrochemical analysis.
• Understanding of coin-cell and pouch-cell battery design, testing and optimization.
• Experience in scientific research, experimental data collection, management, and analysis.
• Ability to independently execute project-related tasks.

Stipend: Up to PKR 80,000 per month, subject to satisfactory performance.
