The School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME), NUST, will host CATALYST-2026, a summer camp running from 31 August to 4 September 2026, featuring two back-to-back workshop series: SUSTECH-2026 (Sustainable Technologies) and MOSPI-2026 (Modeling and Simulation in Process Industries). The camp is organized into five specialized clusters, each led by experienced resource persons. PACE (packaging, advanced membranes, coatings and environmental materials) will be conducted by Dr Nabeel Ahmad, Dr Ayesha Raza, Dr Humayun Nadeem, and Dr M. Zia Ul Mustafa. EASE (next-generation energy storage and conversion technologies) will be led by Dr Tayyaba Noor, Dr M. Salman Haider, Dr Umair Sikandar, Dr M. Sajid, Dr Zeeshan Ali, and Dr Mutawara M. Baig. The AI/ML cluster will be taken by Dr Iftikhar Ahmad, Dr M. Nouman Aslam Khan and, CFD by Dr M. Ahsan and Dr Zia Ur Rehman, and DFT by Dr Haider Ejaz. Sessions will combine expert lectures with hands-on training, with Dr Nilanthy Balakrishnan and Dr Ahmad Ilyas bin Rushdan joining as honorary speakers. The event continues SCME’s role as a hub for education, research, and innovation in energy and process technologies, drawing participation from students, researchers, and professionals.
