Professor Ir Dr Amir Azam Khan, Principal SCME, gives plenary talk at the 2nd International Conference on Trends and Research in Chemistry (TRIC-2023)

Prof. Ir Dr Amir Azam Khan, Principal SCME gave plenary talk to the opening session of the 2^nd International Conference on Trends and Research in Chemistry (TRIC-2023). The conference was held from 16^th to 18^th May, 2023 at the University of Education, Lahore. The opening session was presided by the Chairman PHEC, Dr Shahid Munir along with Vice Chancellor of University of Education, Prof. Dr Talat Naseer Pasha (SI, NI).

The conference attracted more than 250 researchers and scientists from 17 countries around the world. The plenary talk was focused on Innovative Solutions in Ceramic Engineering: From Lab to the Table through applied Research and Development. The conventional way of doing research was compared to the research being conducted at 4^th generation universities. A research which can be used to uplift and modernize the life of people in the society, through demand driven objectives was presented and salient points were revealed during this talk. A couple of case studies were also discussed as example. The talk created tremendous interest among the young researchers and several masters and UG students showed interest in pursuing their research at NUST under the School of Chemical and Materials Engineering.
