Dr. Waseem Haider (Tenured Associate Professor at Central Michigan University, USA) visited Principal’s office on 21st December 2020. Dr Haider has an extensive research career, notably his work on additive manufacturing has been acknowledged by his peers worldwide. He is on the list of the President of Pakistan Highly Qualified Overseas Pakistanis.The purpose of Dr Haider’s visit was to explore possibilities of joint research and academic activities between SCME and Central Michigan University. The Principal SCME assured Dr Waseem Haider of his willingness to work together and promote collaborations for research and academic platforms. The discussion also included discussion on the publication of NUST Journal of Engineering Sciences (NJES), which is flagship Journal of NUST. Presently, NUST is looking to expand its Advisory Board and to increase the scope of the Journal. Dr Haider committed himself to contribute to this Journal and to help, in whatever way possible, to improve the visibility of NJES within the International Scientific Community.
